Hartmut Derendorf is Distinguished Professor and
Chairman of the Department of Pharmaceutics at the University of Florida
College of Pharmacy in Gainesville.
Prof. Derendorf has published over 220 scientific publications and
given over 500 presentations at national or international meetings.
He has published six textbooks in English and German, such as H. Derendorf
/ G. Hochhaus, Handbook of Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic Correlations
(1995). He is one of the editors of the International Journal of Clinical
Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Die Pharmazie and Associate Editor
for J. Clin. Pharmacol. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Pharm.
Res., Eur. J. Pharm. Sci., J. Pharm. Sci., Res. Comm Pharmacol. Toxicol.,
Clin. Pharmacokin., J. Pharmacokin. Pharmacodyn. and Anti-infective
Agents and Chemotherapy. His research interests include the pharmacokinetics
and pharmacodynamics of corticosteroids, analgesics, antibiotics as
well as drug interactions.
In 1983, Prof. Derendorf won the Rottendorf-Award for Pharmaceutical
Sciences and in 1994 the McKeen-Cattell Award for the best publication
in J. Clin. Pharmacology. In 2003, he was awarded the Nathaniel T.
Kwit Distinguished Service Award of the American College of Clinical
Pharmacology (ACCP) and the Research Achievement Award in Clinical
Science of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AAPS).
He is a Fellow, former Secretary and Honorary Regent of ACCP. He is
president-elect of the International Society of Antiinfective Pharmacology
(ISAP). He is a Fellow of AAPS, and member of APhA, FPA, DPhG, ASCPT
and AACP. He is also a member of the Nutrition and Therapeutics Committee
of the NASA Space Medicine Program and a member of the FDA Clinical
Pharmacology Advisory Committee.

Naber is Head of the Department of Urology of the in Straubing, which
is a Teaching Hospital of the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
He is currently the Secretary General of the International Society
of Chemotherapy (ISC) and the chairman of the European Society for
Infection in Urology (ESIU), affiliated to the European Association
of Urology (EAU), and the chairman of the corresponding working groups
for urogenital infections of the ISC, the Paul-Ehrlich-Society for
Chemotherapy and the German Society for Urology. He was the President
of the 2nd European Congress of Chemotherapy held in Hamburg, 1998.
His main research interest are urogenital infections including related
microbiology and antimicrobial pharmacotherapy. He has published more
than 400 articles in national and international books and scientific
journals. |

of the Medical University Vienna, Austria
Professor M. Rotter is Head of the Department
of Clinical Microbiology of the Hygiene-Institute of the Medical
School of the University at the General Hospital, Vienna. He published
about 400 scientific publications including areas of clinical microbiology,
hospital epidemiology, and disinfection.
Prof. Rotter was awarded the Unilever Award 1975, the Austrian Hygiene-Award
1976, the Rudolf Schülke Award 1982, and the Düsseldorf
Hygiene Award 1984. He is temporary adviser to the WHO and previously
he was President of the Austrian Society of Hygiene, Microbiology
and Preventive Medicine, President of the Austrian Society for Chemotherapy,
and Vicepresident of the Paul-Ehrlich Society for Chemotherapy.
